Preparing your business for peak season

News July 2010

It is widely acknowledged that the autumn months of September, October and November are peak business months for UK companies; it is not surprising therefore that companies choose this time of year to launch new products.

As schools return in September, staff return from summer breaks invigorated and ready to throw themselves into a new project or challenge. This is great, but it is now that businesses should already by thinking about ways in which they can maximise their sales and marketing potential during this fast approaching peak season.

Do not leave the planning and organising to the last minute, with only eight weeks to go until September you have a lot to do to prepare your Sales and Marketing activity for the autumn.

Marketing campaigns need to be carefully planned. Make sure you know who you are targeting, how you are going to reach them and what resources you have to do that. While things are a little quieter during the summer make sure that all of your resources are up to date including website content, sales presentations, brochures and other marketing collateral. Remember, good sales initiatives need well thought out collateral.
